Things: Vintage finds
Even amidst Paris’s famous ‘les soldes,’ thrifting has quickly become one of my favorite things to do. Here are a few things I’ve picked up recently. I rarely wear brown, but I love it as the accent in this oversized leather top.
Proenza Schouler’s S/S 12 collection made me love athletic-inspired elements and accessories. I’m exciting to wear this shrunken...

Places: Marché Dauphine
Recently I trekked over to Les Puces de Saint-Ouen. My friends and I had heard that the giant flea market can be great for discovering antiques and vintage clothing, and that was enough for us to hop on the metro bright and early. Initially, the market was not at all what we expected. A few Parisians had warned me that the perimeter of Les Puces can be a bit seedy, cluttered with name-brand...

Snapshots
Just photos, nothing extra. Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, tulips in the 16th arrondissement.

Places: Maison Ladurée
As they recently launched in NYC, Maison Ladurée macarons aren’t particularly new to me, but I’m glad because they’re delicious. The more, the better. Recently, I visited Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées, a tourist-y but beautiful area. Gilded mint, the Ladurée building looks just like a giant box of their famous macarons. Upon entering, you step into a sea of tourists clamoring...

Places: Pont de l'Archevêché
I took a tour with my school group of some major sights, and while crossing the Seine we paused on this bridge. Each chain-link side is decorated with closed locks, many of which bear inscriptions. There are thousands. Couples come here to add eternity to their love, as they hook their lock on to the bridge and throw the key into the river. Really romantic, as long as you disregard the...

Places: The King of Frip
Not that I am obsessed with thrifting, but… crazy French sweater? Check. Today, I visited The King of Frip and picked up this gem. I’m thinking of pairing it with black skinnies and layering it under something simple. If all else fails, it will definitely keep me warm! The temperature is dropping here quite quickly. The King of Frip is also in the Marais area. Inside, you will find...

Places: Coiffeur
I am beyond excited to be living in the Marais, which is apparently famous for being a historically Jewish and gay neighborhood. It feels kind of like SoHo meets Chelsea with a bit of Hell’s Kitchen. I’ve heard that the area is known for vintage shopping. So, my roommate and I set out to hit the most recommended stores, but then we stumbled upon Coiffeur, a hole-in-the-wall that...

✈ Moving from New York to Paris
Today is my third day in Paris, so jet lag is no longer a viable excuse for why I haven’t started blogging. But, before I get ahead of myself, I should probably give you a bit of background information. I’m an NYU student studying in Paris for the spring semester. (No, I don’t speak French; yes, I want to learn.) I spent my first bit of college interning at one of my favorite...
